MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Warner University Royals take down another Mid-South opponent, Faulkner University with touchdown in final seconds.

Rod Shafer is not done yet as Warner has won their second straight game. The Royals traveled to Alabama to take on Faulkner University and left with a 35-34 victory. Warner improves to 2-7 overall and 2-3 in the Mid-South Conference Sun Division.
The Royals trailed in the 1
stquarter 0-10 before freshman QB
Michael Young capped off an 8 play 59 yard drive by finding pay dirt on a 1 yard rush.
The Eagles took flight scoring 24 unanswered points taking a 31-7 lead nearing the end of the 1
sthalf.
Warner found the end zone with a minute left on the clock before heading into half off a 17 yard scamper by
Vance Bennett.
The Royals then opened up the 3
rdquarter by handing the ball again to
Vance Bennett who took it to the house for a 7 yard touchdown run. Bennett would finish his day with 8 attempts, 56 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Trailing by 10, the Royals defense stopped the Eagles and held them to a 34 yard field goal that brought the score to a 34-21 Eagles lead with 7 minutes left in the game.
Deontae Bradley capped off a 6 play drive for 65 yards when he muscled through the end zone for a 3 yard run bringing the score to 34-28 in favor of the Eagles.
With just over 3 minutes left in the game and the Royals trailing by 6, they marched 13 plays and 82 yards to finish out the drive with a
Javon Wilson 2 yard touchdown run.
Justin Dalton nailed the extra point attempt giving the Royals a 35-34 lead with 00:18 remaining in the game.
The Eagles had the ball with 00:11 left on the clock and a broken up pass by the Royals
Leonard Faison led to an interception by
Darryl Weaver which sealed the deal for the Royals and gave them their second straight victory.
Andre Tommie took the majority of snaps for the Royals and completed 15 of 25 for 137 passing yards.
Michael Young completed 8 of 14 for 36 yards.
The Royals touchdowns came off the legs of the running backs. Eight Royals registered carries on the day.
Vance Bennett led the way with 8 carries for 56 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Deontae Bradley,
Javon Wilson and
Michael Young all punched a run into the end zone for a touchdown.
The Royals will come back and shift focus for their last game of the season next Saturday against Ave Maria at Ave Maria.
