MIAMI GARDENS – FLA. This afternoon the Warner Women's Volleyball Team traveled to Miami Gardens to play their final regular season game against Saint Thomas University.
Unfortunately, this game did not go as planned and the Royals fell to the Bobcats by scores of (27-25, 25-21, 25-16).
Strong hands of the Bobcats at the net, and low hitting percentages seemed to be the Achilles heel for Warner today as their attacks were blocked a total of 10 times, and their hitting percentage never went above .200 – with a total of 22 errors.
Despite the errors, the Royals still accumulated 39 kills. Four different ladies totaled double digit digs –
Raygen Lee and
Breeanna Navarro each added 10, while
Andrea Lorenz and
Ashley Kube added 15 and 17 respectively.
After this afternoon's matchup, Warner has been locked into a tied 4th seed with Saint Thomas going into the conference tournament.Â
The Sun Conference Tournament will begin during this upcoming week. Keep checking back with the Warner Athletic Website for game times, opponents, and recaps!
