Men’s Basketball – Royal’s Unable To Complete 2nd Half Comeback Against Tigers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Last night the Men's Basketball team traveled north to Jacksonville to take on the Edward Waters Tigers; over 520 people turned out to see the two teams play. The Royals battled hard the entire game but in the end were unable to complete a comeback and fell to the Tigers 83-75.
 
This is the Royals first loss of the year, as the team sits at 2-1 so far this season.
 
Trae Graham led the way again for the Royals, scoring 20 points and grabbing 7 rebounds in 31 minutes of play; this is the 2nd time Graham has led the team in points and his third straight game scoring in double-digits.
 
The Royals had 3 different players score in double digits last night:  
 
Warner played well last night but were unable to grab the momentum entirely and mount a comeback against the Tigers in the 2nd half of tonight game, scoring 41 points to the Tigers 47 in the half.
 
The difference in last night's game came down to Free Throws; the Royals shot 22-31 from the free throw line while the Tigers shot 12-15.
 
The Royals can build off this game and can take away a lot of positives too, the bench had 19 points, the team had 15 second-chance points and outrebounded the Tigers 36 – 31.
 
Expect the team to bounce back as they continue to play on the road later on this week when they will travel to Hialeah, Fla. to take on Florida National University.
