Warner Women’s Basketball – Lady Royals Fall To Rival Webber, Despite Having 3 Players Score In Double-Digits

Babson Park, Fla. – The Warner Lady Royals lost a heartbreaker today to their cross-town rival the Webber International Lady Warriors 67-57, despite 3 different players scoring in double-digits for the Royals.
 
The Lady Royals starting 5 for today's game were Daijah Turner, Randi Chandler, Valeria Merlos, D'Asia James, and Alana St. Clair.
 
  • #1 Daijah Turner scored a team-high 13 points and had 3 assists in 40 minutes of play.
  • #23 Randi Chandler scored 11 points in 23 minutes.
  • #42 Alana St. Clair scored 10 points and a grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds in 28 minutes of play before fouling out of the game.
 
The Royals struggled from the field today, shooting a season low 29%, 19% in the 1st half and 38% in the 2nd half. Warner did however make great improvements in their Free Throws, as they shot a season high 84% from the charity strike.
 
Webber had 4 different players score in double-digits and had 1 player notch a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
 
Warner's bench did a good job of contributing this game, scoring 17 of the teams 57 points.
 
Warner also did a good job of scoring points off turnovers, scoring 19 points as a team and also had 18 points in the paint.

The Lady Royals are continuing to come together and learn to play as a team this early in the season and will look to right the ship as they head up to the College of Coastal Georgia on Tuesday December 4 to play their 4th TSC game this season. Look for the team to come out fired up and ready as they aim to grab their 1st TSC win!
