(10) Royals Men’s Volleyball Takes Down (7) MVC and GU Falling to (RV) CU Over The Weekend

MARSHALL, Mo. – (10) Royals outlast (7) Missouri Valley College and Graceland University but drop first game of 2018 to (RV) Clarke University.
 
GAME 1 WU vs. MVC (3-1)
 
Warner moved to 4-0 on the year with the win over Missouri Valley (25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 30-28). Manuel Panchame and Jordan Barreto lead the way with 12 kills each balancing out the Royals front line. Alexander Lazo stood tall with 3 blocks, Manuel Panchame and Neil Werzer each added 2 respectively. Neil Werzer registered 35 assists while John Montalvo-Camacho came away with 11 digs.
 
GAME 2 WU vs. CU (0-3)
 
(RV) Clarke University is the sole team to figure the Royals out so far this year. In a very tight 3 sets, the Royals dropped to Clarke with each set being less than a 3 point decision (22-25, 25-27, 22-25). Jordan Barreto maintained his kill streak adding 15 kills. Enrique Larach came alive with 27 assists. John Montalvo-Camacho also followed up with a 12 dig match.
 
GAME 3 WU-GU (3-2)
 
(10) Royals got back on track and moved to 5-1 on the year with their win over Graceland University (25-21, 25-18, 22-25, 22-25, 15-11). Manuel Panchame put up 14 kills. He also tied with Florian Sievers with 2 aces apiece. Andrew Holman had and outstanding 9 blocks on the match. Neil Werzer put up 40 assists while John Montalvo-Camacho finished out his weekend with 17 digs giving him 40 digs in the 3 matches.
