Box Score 4 LAKE WALES, Fla. – Don't look now but the (RV) Warner University Royals Men's Volleyball team has not lost a set since roughly 5:17 p.m. on March 3
rd. They have won 8 straight games and 13 straight sets.
The Royals have pieced together a lengthy 8 game win streak, but in that win streak, they have clean swept opponents in 8 of the 13 games.
This past weekend the Royals traveled to Campbellsville, Kentucky to compete against Campbellsville University, Morningside College, Lawrence Tech and Cincinnati Christian. In order the Royals took down Campbellsville 3-0, Morningside 3-0, Lawrence Tech 3-0 and then Cincinnati Christian 3-0.
The Royals took down Campbellsville 25-19, 25-17, 25-13.
Jordan Barreto had his best game of the tournament amassing 16 kills.
Neil Werzer assisted 36 times while
John Montalvo- Camacho came away with 14 digs.
Taking on Morningside the Royals defeated the Mustangs in three straight 25-18, 25-20, 26-24.
Jordan Barreto led again with 13 kills while
John Montalvo- Camacho had 15 digs.
Alexander Lazo had 3 blocks while
Neil Werzer had 38 assists.
The Royals beat Lawrence Tech 25-18, 25-15, 25-20.
Jordan Barreto added 10 more kills to his totals.
John Montalvo- Camacho had 12 digs.
Alexander Lazo registered another 3 blocks while
Neil Werzer had another 34 assists.
The Royals finished out the weekend with a 27-25, 25-18, 25-23 win over Cincinnati Christian.
Warner University sits in first place at 9-1 in the Conference and 13-2 Overall. They have 4 matches left in the year, all of them conference, before they head to the Conference Tournament hosted by Campbellsville University.
The Royals host their last home game against the Warriors of Webber International University on April 2
nd at 7:00 p.m. located in the Turner Athletic Center.
