LAKE WALES, Fla – Over the weekend our Lady Royals traveled north to face NCAA DII opponent Georgia Southwestern University, and came away with the win 2-1. This is the 2
nd consecutive win for the women and bumps their record up to 3-2-1 for the year. The Lady Royals high powered offense has outscored their last two opponents 7-1.

Samanntha Warren found the back of the net off an assist from
Naisha Alicea. Warren leads the team in goals this season with 4.
The Hurricanes were able to even things up 1-1 late in the first half off an unassisted goal. The half would come to an end with the teams tied 1-1.

The second half started just like the first, with the Lady Royals applying early offensive pressure and striking pay-dirt once again when #18 Rachel Deweerd knocked in her 2
nd goal of the season and gave the Royals a 2-1 lead.

Sarah Bergkvist had herself a busy night, notching 6 more saves on the year. The Royals as a team peppered 12 total shots on the night and an impressive 9 shots on goal; an incredible night for the Warner offense as they had 75% shots on goal.

The Lady Royals will once again be headed north on Wednesday September 19 to take on conference opponent SCAD-Savannah, in what will be Warner's first conference game of the season; the game will be played at 6 PM, please check the Warner Women's Soccer schedule for viewing options.
