LAKE WALES, Fla – Women's Soccer hosted conference rival Webber International today and were able to come away with their 2
nd conference victory on the year, as they beat the Warriors 2-0. The Lady Royals have now won 4 games in a row and Head Coach Payton had this to say after the big win and the teams success, "It comes down to the work rate of the girls on the field and the encouragement of the girls on the bench."

As the first half started the Royals offense wasted no time finding the back of the net as #10

The first half was a back and forth battle that saw the Warriors post only 3 shots on offense while the Lady Royals peppered 10 total shots with 5 on goal.

Sarah Bergkvist had a slow half as she did not have to save any shots; on the other side of the pitch Warriors goalie Summer Simpson notched 4 saves in the first half.

The first would to an end with the Royals ahead of the Warriors 1-0.

The second half started with the Royals putting more offensive pressure on the Warriors and in the 57
th minute the Royals found the back of the net yet again when #18 Rachel Deweerd knocked in her 3
rd goal of the season off a penalty kick. The goal would give the Lady Royals a 2-0 lead.

As the half continued both teams continued to battle for possession in the middle of the field but in the end the Royals would come away with the win 2-0.

The Lady Royals finished the match with 19 total shots and 10; while the Warriors finished with 6 total shots.
