LAKE WALES – FLA. The Warner University Women's Volleyball Team welcomed the visiting Florida Memorial Lions this afternoon in a Sun Conference matchup.
Going into today's game, the Royals were 6-8 on the season with 2 wins in the conference already. The visiting Lions were 6-4 overall, with 1 conference win.
The Lady Royals came out firing, easily winning the first set by a score of 25-15. The second and third sets were not as easily won for the Royals as a few miscues allowed the Lions to even up the score in the second set at 14-14. Despite the comeback, the Royals were able to put away the Lions 25-20 to make them one set away from sweeping their 3
rd conference opponent. Strategic placement of the ball on serves and attacks was crucial to Warner's success, as they took the third set by a score of 25-22.
All 17 Royals saw the court today and had something to contribute. Collectively, Warner tallied 43 kills, 40 assists, 4 service aces, 46 digs, and 3 blocks.
The Royals will take on the College of Coastal Georgia next Wednesday, September 26
th at 7:00 PM at home.
