LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner University Royals Men's Basketball took down the Warriors of Webber International to complete the sweep of the Crooked Lake Rivalry during regular season play. Six Royals reached double-digit numbers in the win. The Royals improve to 17-7 overall and a Sun Conference record of 10-2.
The Royals fired up quickly with a massive first half jumping out to a 56-37 lead over the Warriors. The Royals finished the first half with a shooting percentage of 57% from the field.
Darryl Mercer Jr. had 16 points and
Trae Graham had 12.
The second half was about the same story as the Royals declined slightly shooting 51% from the field.
Darryl Mercer Jr. finished the game with 24 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.
Trae Graham added 17 points shooting 8-13 form the field while snagging 11 rebounds for the double-double and adding 2 blocks to his Sun Conference leading totals.
Jalen Williams put up 16 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists on his night. When asked about the win, Williams said "Tonight was a big win. We will continue to play hard but we have to keep playing one game at a time and working hard."
Jaylan Shelton and
Jaquez Dickerson both put up 12 point efforts and
Austin Walker added 10 points with 5 boards.
The Royals maintain a perfect 11-0 record at home and have proven they're tough to beat. They will travel next Thursday to take on Thomas University for another matchup of The Sun Conference.
