AVE MARIA, Fla. - Warner University women's soccer hit the road in the early morning to face Ave Marie University with the opening kick at 11:30 a.m.
Lexi Garcia provided the only goal of the afternoon, giving Royals a 1-0 win over the Gyrenes at Ave Marias soccer complex.

Lexi Garcia came in as a starter this game and did not disappoint. Early on in the 6th minute of the game, she provided the matches only goal. This was her second goal of the season.
Brooke Blommel was credited the assist for Garcia's goal, it's Blommel's first assist of the season.
After a tough loss against Saint Thomas University last Saturday, this was a much-needed win for the Royals. This brings the Royals overall season record 3-9 and 2-4 in conference play. The three wins for the Royals have all been shutouts.
The Royals overall had 6 shots throughout the game with 5 on goal. The Gyrenes had 9 shots with 2 on goal.
Mackenzie Spurling was Goalie for the Royals making her record 2-6 on the season.
The Royals will be hosting senior night this Wednesday, October 23 at 7 p.m. They will be facing Florida Memorial University at home on Royals Field.
