No. 21 Warner Men’s Basketball – Benoit Reaches Career Milestone, Royals Home Regular Season Win Streak Snapped By Bobcats

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Royals carried a lengthy home regular season win streak of 18 games. Tonight that streak was snapped by the last visiting team to enter the T.A.C. and leave with a win, St. Thomas.
 
The all-time series tips in favor of the Bobcats 12-10 over the Royals. The Royals have now lost four of the last five meetings between the two. In the Turner Athletic Center, the Royals are 6-5 all-time against the Bobcats.
 
The first half Maxwell Benoit led the Royals with 11 total points and 4 rebounds, 1 offensive and 3 defensive. Darryl Mercer Jr. also hit 11 total points going 4-11 from field. As a team the Royals hit 14-40 field goals, and only 2-10 three-pointers. The first half ended with the Royals trailing for the first time this season 38-41.
 
The second half was a strong battle between both teams as the Royals trailed by four with just over five minutes left on the clock. They struggled late at the free-throw line going just 3-7 in the last five minutes of play.
