Warner Baseball – Royals Fall To Gyrenes In 2019 TSC Opener

LAKE WALES, Fla. – This afternoon the Royals from Warner University and the Gyrenes from Ave Maria, battled it out in game one of a three game weekend series. This was the first TSC action for either team thus far this season and after 9 innings of hard fought baseball the Gyrenes came away with the victory in game one, 7-4.
 
Andres Fernandez started things on the mound for the Royals this afternoon, making his second start of the season for Warner; Fernandez won his first outing of the year last Friday against the Florida National Conquistadors. Fernandez pitched 7 innings last Friday and recorded 8 SO's in his 2019 debut.
 
Noah Christopher started the mound this afternoon for the Gyrenes, Christopher has started and pitched in two games so far this season, he had an 0-1 record with a 6.55 ERA entering the game this afternoon.
