(RV) Warner Baseball – Royals Complete Regular Season With Tough Loss To Rival Webber

BABSON PARK, Fla. – Last night the Warner Royals traveled across Crooked Lake to take on their Sun Conference rival, the Webber International Warriors, it what was the last regular season game of this 2019 season for both sides.

The Warriors were able to grab the victor and secure their 14th conference win, while the Royals finish the season with a 32-19 overall record and a 12-12 TSC record.

Both squads, Warner & Webber, seem headed to the TSC playoffs this season.

Michael Batten took the mound for Warner last night and pitched 5.1 innings before being relieved by Joey Theune, who threw 1.2 innings before he was followed by Ryan Klingler who pitched the 8th inning.

The Warriors struck first, scoring 2 in the bottom of the 3rd inning and were held quiet for the most part before putting up a 4 spot in the bottom of the 6th inning off Batten to extend their lead to 6-0.

The Royals managed to get 1 run across in the top of the 9th off a Jan Martinez single that scored Rio Russell but were out-matched by the Warriors and fell 6-1 to their rival.

Despite the loss the Royals still appear headed to the TSC playoffs, stay tuned to for more information regarding the TSC playoffs and other information about the Royals this week!
