LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner University Softball has punched their ticket into The Sun Conference tournament with a split doubleheader over the St. Thomas University Bobcats.
Sara Bruno plates 5 RBI's in the two games with 2 doubles to help send the Royals into post season play.
GAME 1 - WU 8, STU 3
The Royals offense came alive in game one of the doubleheader putting up 10 hits in the 8-3 victory.
Kayleigh Walters and
Breyonna Shell finished the game with multi-hit efforts.

Sara Bruno and
Ashton Owen all finished the game with 2 RBI's each. The lone extra base hit came off the bat of
Sara Bruno in the bottom of the 4
thinning when she doubled home
Kayleigh Walters and
Kasey Heslin.
The Royals 1-5 hitters were a combined 7-18 at the plate with 6 runs scored and 6 RBI's.
Brittany Winget pitched her last complete game on Daly Field throwing 7 innings spreading out 8 hits, 3 runs and striking out 1. With the win, Winget improved to 7-4 on the season.
GAME 2 – WU 8, STU 10
Warner struggled in the top of the 1
stinning giving up 5 runs to the Bobcats. They answered in the bottom of the 1
stwith singles off the bats of
Sara Bruno and
Breyonna Shell that both scored
Kasey Heslin and Aston Owen.
The Bobcats added 2 more runs in the top of the 5
thinning extending their lead to 8-2 over the Royals.
The bottom of the 5
thtold a different story.
Sara Bruno started the scoring spree with a double to left field that scored
Kayleigh Walters and
Caitlyn Yockey.
Breyonna Shell later doubled scoring
Ashton Owen and
Megan Garfinkel who took over on the base path for Bruno.
Avery Cotterill topped off the inning tying the game 8-8 with another double smacked down the left field line scoring
Abigail Oliver and
Breyonna Shell.
The Bobcats plated 2 runs in the top of the 6
thand then fended off the Royals holding onto a 10-8 victory.

Sara Bruno finished the day with 5 RBI's at the plate and 2 doubles.
Brittany Winget ranks #2 in NAIA DI with just 7 walks allowed through her 58.2 innings pitched.
The Royals have punched their ticket into the 2019 Sun Conference Tournament . With plenty of TSC action tomorrow, the Royals will await seeding and their first opponent in the post season tournament.
