LAKE WALES, Fla.- The Royals 2019 season is set to kick off Thursday, August 22 against Point University in Georgia. The Royals face a tough schedule as they play the NAIA No. 2, No. 3 and No. 15 teams in the nation.
Last season, Warner University woman's soccer ended the season with an overall record of 13-9-1, with a 6-4 Sun Conference record. The Royals were named the NCCAA South Regional Champions and went on with a 1-2 record in the NCCAA National Championship Tournament.
It was an exciting season for the Lady Royals and it has been one to remember for everyone involved as the team set a new mark for most wins in a single season with 13, in only the 2nd year under Head Coach
Payton Chitwood.
The Royals hit the field with some key returners and also some new faces.

Cristina Clements, an incoming Senior, midfielder, was named All-Conference Honerable mentioned.
Emma Marshall, an incoming Sophomore, defensive player, was awarded Second Team All-conference and NCCAA All American.
Brooke Blommel, incoming Junior, defensive player, was presented All-Conference Honorable mention.
Morgan Newhart, Senior, defensive player, made the All-Conference and the NAIA Academic Team.

The Royals bring in some new faces and an immediate boost to the lineup.
Mackenzie Spurling is an incoming Freshman and a Goalkeeper. She went to Wiregrass High School located in Tampa, Florida. Recognized throughout the Tampa area.
Maddie Manzke, who is also an incoming Freshman, plays Midfield and Forward. She went to Sandburg High School, located in Orland Park in Illinois. Manzke was the top performer in her high school.
Isabella Jaramillo an incoming Sophomore who is a NCAA Division III Transfer. Playing Midfield/Forward, Jaramillo was the leading goal scorer at Wesley Chapel with 18 goals, 41 points.
"On the field we look to progress this year and make a difference when it comes to a tough non-conference schedule and heading into conference play. The ladies have made good progress so far, so I'm really excited to see them match up and compete this year. The ladies have laid a good foundation of Christ centeredness and team growth, the coaches are excited to see possibly one of the most unified teams we've had a Warner strive together this season." Coach Chitwood is so excited for this upcoming season. This will be his third-year coaching at Warner University and has done a remarkable job with the team. Setting records since he has been here and working hard building an amazing foundation with these young ladies on the field and off the field academically. In the 2018 season, Coach Chitwood was awarded TSC Coach of the Year.
The Royals open up their season against Point University on August 22 at 8:30 P.M. as a part of the Jenna Paige Bragg Memorial Tournament.
