MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Royals fell to St. Thomas for the second time this season. Since the start of the series in 2009, the Royals have never beaten the Bobcats falling to 0-23 in the series.
The Royals fell in Lake Wales, Fla. earlier in the season to the Bobcats by a final score of 52-61.
Warner trailed the Bobcats following the first quarter 11-16. An offensive battle in the second quarter narrowed the gap to the Royals trailing 28-29. The battle in the third quarter stayed even as each team added 13 points and the score stood at 41-42 in favor of the Bobcats. The Bobcats stunned the Royals holding them to just 6 4
th quarter points while adding 16 of their own and finishing out a 58-47 win over the Royals.
D'Asia James put up a double-double for the Royals with 11 points and 12 rebounds. James went 5-6 from the field and added 3 blocks.
Marina Hodo followed closely with 8 points and
Troi Grant finished with 7.
The Royals head back to Miami next week to take on the Johnson & Wales Wildcats Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
