LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner polished off Webber this afternoon 79-72 taking the first game of the Crooked Lake Rivalry.
The Warriors jumped out to a quick 16-6 lead over the Royals in the first 7:00 minutes of the game. The Royals paced back to eventually take a 38-33 lead into halftime. After the Warriors fought back and both teams exchanged the lead midway through the second half, the Royals vaulted out to a 10 point lead with just 3:21 remaining on the clock. The lead would stand as the Royals held off the Warriors 79-72.
The Royals are one game away from the 30-win mark over the Royals in the history of the two schools. Warner leads the all-time series 29-12. In the last 11 games played, the Royals are 10-1 and currently on a five-game winning streak over the Warriors.
Today, the Royals finished the game with a lofty five players in double digits for the point column.

Josh Glesil had a big day with three blocks.
As a team the Royals shot 49% from the field while hitting 45% from three-point range and 100% of their free throws. Warner improves to 4-2 on the season and 2-2 in The Sun Conference.
