LAKE WALES, Fla. – Bouncing back after a tough loss earlier in the day the Warner Royals defeated the Edward Waters Tigers 7-3 to grab the teams 5
th win this season.
Andrew Yarbrough took the mound for the Royals and grabbed his 1
st of the season after throwing 6 innings, allowing just 1 earned run and striking out 6 batters.
The Royals came out strong in the 1
st inning, scoring 6 runs on 4 hits and taking a commanding lead in the game.
Jan Martinez got the rally going for Warner, scoring the 1
st run, and before the inning was over the Royals had batted around in the inning.
Warner lead 7-2 going into the 7
th inning;
Ryan Klingler came in to pitch for the Royals and ended up earning a save after the Tigers began to rally and scored 1 run but left the bases loaded to end the game.
