LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals suffered their 19th loss this evening at the hands of the Saint Ambrose Fighting Bees after a strong offensive performance by the 5-7 Bees.Â
Luke Myers made his 5th start of the year tonight but got into some trouble early and was only able to throw 4 innings, giving up 9 runs, 4 ER before being relieved by
Cameron Cooper. Cooper closed out the game for the Royals, in what ended up being only a 7 inning game.Â
Offensively the Royals were off-balance at the plate and could never get their timing down against Bees starting pitcher Zach Meyer.Â
Warner was held to only 4 hits on the evening, by
Scott Fickas,
Trevor Thomas,
Jan Martinez, and
Tyler Kreissler.Â
The Royals trailed 15-3 in the bottom of the 6th and almost made up enough ground to force the game to go past 7 innings off a
Jan Martinez single up the middle that scored 2 runs but could not overcome the 10 run deficit and fell to the Bees 15-5.Â
