John Bean spread out 6 hits over 9 innings as the Royals took down the Fighting Saints 7-3.

The Royals plated the first runs in the bottom of the 2
nd inning.
Jan Martinez drew a base loaded walk to score
Devin Frost.
Taylor Briggs added 2 more runs on a bases loaded double giving the Royals a 3-0 lead.
The Fighting Saints of St. Francis (Ill.) were held scoreless until the top of the 5
th inning with an RBI double off the bat of John Peterson.
Josh Strickland laced a single up the middle that scored
Scott Fickas in the bottom of the 5
th giving the Royals a 4-1 lead.
The Fighting Saints answered again in the top of the 6
th inning with a Cibulka single and a Wolf single both for an RBI cutting into the lead 3-4 in favor of the Royals.
In the bottom of the 7
th David Torres singled to right field that again scored
Scott Fickas.
Trevor Thomas added a run reaching on an infield error that score
Devin Frost.
Josh Strickland continued his hot streak at the plate with another single and an RBI scoring
Taylor Briggs.
