LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals win their seventh season game tonight and in a powerful offensive outpour.
The Royals wasted no time in scoring runs tonight. In the first inning, Warner scored 10 runs to secure an early lead.
In the bottom of the first, Warner got runs on the board with back-to-back home runs by
John Pichman with 3 RBIs and
Logan Flood with 2 RBIs. Next,
Zachary Balogh doubled down the left line bring in
Anthony Capri and
Daniel Coca.
Taylor Briggs registered an RBI that brought Balogh home. Pichman tripled to center field recording another RBI in the night.
Brian Spradlin then reached on an error by the Cougars third basemen to score Pichman.
In the bottom of the 6
th Capri doubled down the right field line to have
Erich Jaquez, Coca,
Devin Frost score to bring the game to 13 runs for the Royals. In the bottom of the 7
th, Pichman singled to left field recording another RBI. Spradlin then reached on a fielder's choice which led to
Tyler Brown scoring another run. To finish the game Coca doubled to center field to bring in the winning run.
Liam Felix took the win off the mound tonight improving him to 1-0 in the season. He was one of the four pitchers to make an appearance for the Royals.
Pichman was just halfway from a cycle tonight with a home run and a triple. He ended the night with 5 RBIs improving to 14 RBIs overall for his career.
Warner will face #4 St.Thomas for a weekend TSC series starting Friday, February 26 for game one and Saturday, February 27 for game two and three.
