LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Royals took game one from the Gyrenes as they faced each other for the third time this season. Warner previously took a trip to Ave Maria, Fla. to face the Gyrenes for a non-conference match-up.
The history between Ave Maria and Warner dates back to January 26, 2010. The Royals have 18 wins against the Gyrenes in the span of 11 years.

Logan Flood doubled down the left line to score
Zachary Balogh and
Anthony Capri recording 2 RBIs. Then in the bottom of the 4
th,
Jan Martinez singled to left field and recorded an RBI that scored
Daniel Coca. Carpi reached on a fielder's choice and registered an RBI that scored
Devin Frost which improved the Royals to 6 runs and left the Gyrenes trailing with 0 runs on the board. Ave Maria scored two runs in the top of the 5
th.
Tyler Brown then came in the bottom of the 6
th and hit his first home run in his career at Warner to right field that made the game 7-2 in favor of Warner.
John Bean took the win off of the mound today for the Royals improving his overall record to 4-2 in the season. Bean threw 8 innings and had a total of 7 strikeouts.
Pedro Reyes Ruiz went in to close the game and got three quick outs.
Tomorrow the series continues as both of these teams play game 2 and game 3 of the series for the Sun Conference match-up.
