LAKE WALES, Fla. – (19) Warner University Softball took on the (18) Grand View University Vikings in a matchup of the NAIA Top-20.
The first game was a pitching duel of two of the nation's best pitchers. Hannah Pals had a stunning outing for the Vikings doing what no team has been able to do this season and that's keeping the Royals hitless. Warner's offense averages almost 10 hits per game and Pals not only no hit the Royals through 8 innings but struck out 10 in the process and walking just 2 batters.
Tiffany Dodson threw the complete 8 innings for the Royals only surrendering 4 hits until the 8
th inning. Her final line was 8 innings pitched, 5 hits, 2 runs, 0 earned runs, 3 walks and 2 strikeouts.
In game two the Royals offense turned up the heat with 9 hits.
Alison Yawn went 3-5 at the plate with 2 runs scored and an RBI from the leadoff spot. Madsion Ioia also registered a multi-hit performance going 2-3 with 2 runs scored and a walk. Three Royals recorded doubles in the game,

Sara Bruno. Bruno finished the game 1-3 with 2 RBI's.
Arianna Arroyo started the game inside of the circle and threw 1.1 innings only giving up 1 hit but walking 3 and surrendering 3 unearned runs.
Kara Bradley threw 5.2 innings in relief and surrendered just 3 hits and 2 runs.
Tiffany Dodson threw the final 2 innings only giving up 1 hit and an unearned run while striking out 1. Dodson earned the win improving her to 10-4 on the season and the 10
th win continues her streak as #1 in the NAIA.
Warner improves to 13-5 on the season. Next week they travel to Kissimmee to take on Dordt College and the University of Northwestern Ohio on Tuesday.
