HARDEEVILLE, SC. – USCB Sandsharks topple Royals taking both games and only allowing one run in both games.
Game One – WU 0, USCB 8
In the top of the 3
rd,
Jennifer Bryant singled to left field and was left stranded on base. The Sandsharks answered the hit on the board in the bottom of the 3
rd with four hits and scored 3 runs to take the lead. USCB put 4 more runs on in the bottom of the 4
th and then secured their win with a run in the 8
th bringing their total to 8 runs.
Game two – WU 1, USCB 3
The Royals' bats came alive after the tough loss in game one. The Royals had a total of 10 hits.
Alison Yawn went 3-3 against Muraskin.
Breyonna Shell and Bryant both put up 2 hits.
Ashton Owen,
Katelyn Richards, and
Kelly Dwyer were able to get one hit a piece.
Arroyo pitched 5.1 innings taking the loss and gave up 7 hits.
The Royals overall record moves to 25-13 and 9-7 in Sun Conference play.
Warner returns home to face the Eagles of Trinity Baptist College on Tuesday, April 20.
