(RV) Warner Baseball – Warner Sweeps Thomas on Senior Day

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Royals sweep the Nighthawks in a three-game series. Warner also honored their 13 seniors today. 
 
Today was senior day for Warner as all fans were welcome back at Royals Field. Warner Baseball honors the following seniors … David Torres, Peter Carcioppolo, Jacob Cooper, Tad Stockowski, Gabe Bonilla, Cameron Cooper, John Pichman, Jake Ratledge, Wilson Lorenzo, Zachary Balogh, and Pedro Reyes Ruiz
 
Game one
 
Thomas University got off to an early start and scored 3 runs in the 1st inning. In the bottom of the 1st, bases were loaded, and Josh Strickland walked scoring Tyler Brown. As bases were still loaded Trevor Thomas got hit by a pitch and scored Logan Flood to make the game 3-2 in favor of the Nighthawks. Thomas (Ga.) scored in the top of the 4th to make the game 4-2. In the bottom of the 4th, Pichman singled to left field listed an RBI scoring Taylor Briggs. Jan Martinez doubled up the middle in the bottom of the 5th listed an RBI scoring Thomas to tie the game 4-4. In the bottom of the 8th, Anthony Capri sacrifice flied to center field recorded an RBI scoring Brown to make the game 5-4 in favor of the Royals. 
 
Elijah Garner started on the mound for Warner pitched 4 innings recorded 2 strikeouts. Luke Myers went in relief for Garner and pitched 4 innings as well and listed 2 strikeouts. Pichman went in to pitch in the 9th inning and collected his first save of the season. 
 
Game two
 
The Royals got off to a great start and scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st. Brown singled to left field registered an RBI scoring Martinez. Flood singled to left field listed an RBI scoring Brown. Capri then singled first base listed 2 RBIs scoring Flood and Pichman to make the game 4-0. Balogh grounded out to second base registered an RBI scoring Strickland. 
 
In the bottom of the 3rd, Capri singled to right field listed another RBI scoring Flood. Balogh singled to shortstop collected his second RBI of the day scoring Strickland. Martinez singled to left and recorded an RBI scoring Capri to make the game 8-0. Brown hit an inside the park home run to center field registered scoring Martinez and Balogh. Pichman hit his 15th home run of the season to left field to make the game 11-0 Royals up. In the 5th inning, the Nighthawks scored 4 runs to make the 12-4. 
 
In the bottom of the 5th, Martinez joined the home run party and hit a home run to left field. Flood singled to center field listed an RBI scoring Stockowski. Bonilla reached on an error by the first baseman and registered an RBI scoring Daniel Coca to make the game 16-4. Thomas (Ga.) scored in the 2 runs 6th and 7th inning to end the game 16-6. 

John Bean was the starting pitcher for the Royals threw 6 innings listed 6 strikeouts. Senior, Cameron Cooper went in relief of Bean and pitched 1 inning recorded 2 strikeouts.  
 
The Royals will travel to West Palm Beach, Fla. to take on the No. 10 Seahawks of Keiser University in the last Sun Conference matchup of the season.
