WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Royals take game one of the three-game series.
John Pichman hits home run No. 17 to break the school record.
The history between the Seahawks and the Royals dates back to March 24, 2006. The overall record is 24-20 in favor of Warner. This is the second time the Royals have faced the Seahawks this year, the first matchup was for a non-conference game in Lake Wales, Fla. where the Royals won 13-12.
In the top of the 1
st, Pichman hit a home run to left field registered 2 RBIs scoring
Jan Martinez to make the game 2-0 Royals up. Keiser answered back in the bottom of the 1
st and tied the game. In the top of the 2
nd,
David Torres singled to center field recorded an RBI scoring
Josh Strickland to make the game 3-2 in favor of Warner. In the bottom of the 3
rd the Seahawks took the lead.
In the top of the 4
th, Martinez singled to left field listed an RBI scoring
Taylor Briggs to improve the game to 5-4 in favor of Keiser. In the top of the 7
th,
Anthony Capri doubled down the left line listed an RBI scoring
Devin Frost to tie the game. Strickland doubled to left field registered 2 RBIs scoring Carpi and
Logan Flood to take the lead and make the game 7-5 in favor of the Royals.
In the bottom of the 8
th, Keiser scored one run to make the game 7-6. In the top of the 9
th, Pichman hit home run No. 17 to left field to break the all-time school record for most home runs in a season. The previous record-holder was Justin Turner who held his title for 20 years with 16 home runs in a season.
David Torres then singled up the middle listed an RBI scoring Flood to make the game 9-6.
Ryley Rozar started the game for the Royals, he threw 4 innings.
Elijah Garner went in relief for Rozar and took the win off of the mound throwing 3 innings.
