WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Warner takes the series from No. 10 Keiser winning 2 out of the 3 games in the Sun Conference matchup. The Royals improve their overall record to 29-19 and 13-11 in the Sun Conference.
Game one
The Seahawks scored 2 runs early in the game. In the top of the 7
th,
David Torres doubled down the left line listed an RBI scoring
Logan Flood to make the game 2-1 in favor of Keiser. In the 8
th inning, Keiser scored 2 runs to make the game 4-1 Seahawks up.
Freddy Gonzalez started the game for the Royals, he pitched 5.2 innings. Gonzalez recorded 5 strikeouts. Andy Yarbrough went in relief for Gonzalez to finish the game.
Game two
The first 3 innings were scoreless until in the top of the 4
th,
Tyler Brown recorded an RBI with a hit by pitch scoring
Josh Strickland. The Seahawks tied the game in the 5
th inning 1-1. In the top of the 6
th,
Jan Martinez doubled to center field registered an RBI scoring
Zachary Balogh to take the lead. Brown singled through the right side listed an RBI scoring
Taylor Briggs.
John Pichman singled to left field recorded an RBI scoring Martinez to make the game 4-1 Royals up. Keiser scored 2 runs in the 8th innings to make the game 4-3 in favor of Warner.
Pichman now has 54 RBIs in the season, he is ranked No. 20 in RBIs in the NAIA. He is also ranked No.9 in the NAIA in home runs (17).
John Bean took the win off of the mound for the Royals, he pitched 7.1 innings recorded 5 strikeouts.
Liam Felix went in relief for Bean, he pitched 1.2 innings and registered his first save. Felix also recorded 3 strikeouts.
The Royals will return home to play the last home series of the season against Florida National University on Thursday, April 29.
