(RV) Warner Baseball – Royals Notched Fifth Win Against the Bobcats This Season

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Warner takes game 2 of the Sun Conference tournament. After a long lightning delay, the game started back up at 9:10 pm last night. 
 
This season the Royals have faced the Bobcats four times prior to last night. In the last five games, the record is 4-1 in favor of Warner. The initial game time was 12:30 pm and due to lightning delays, the game didn't start until 5:10 pm. 
 
Tyler Brown doubled through the right side in the top of the 1st registered an RBI scoring Jan Martinez to make the game 1-0. St. Thomas answered back with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 1st by Mondejar to take the lead. In the bottom of the 2nd, the Bobcats scored some runs to make the game 6-1 St. Thomas on top. 
 
In the top of the 3rd, Logan Flood singled to right field listed an RBI scoring Tyler Brown to improve the game to 6-2. David Torres singles to right field recorded an RBI scoring John Pichman. Brian Spradlin singled through the right side registered 2 RBIs scoring Torres and Flood to cut the lead to one. Martinez hit a grand slam to take the lead 9-6, recorded 4 RBIs scoring Taylor Briggs, Devin Frost, and Josh Strickland
 
In the bottom of the 4th and 5th inning, the Bobcats scored 2 runs to cut the lead. In the bottom of the 5th, Pichman hit his 19th home run of the season to left-center for a grand slam registered 4 RBIs scoring Brown, Martinez, and Briggs to make the game 13-8. Back-to-back home runs for the Royals when Flood hit a home run to left field. Spradlin singled to right field listed an RBI scoring Torres. 
 
In the bottom of the 5th, St. Thomas scored 2 runs. In the top of the 6th, Spradlin doubled to left field recorded 2 RBIs scoring Strickland and Torres to improve the game to 17-10. Bobcats scored 5 runs in the 6th and 7th. In the top of the 8th, Daniel Coca registered an RBI by a sacrifice fly to right-center scoring Flood to make it 18 runs for the Royals. 
 
The Royals had 5 pitchers throw last night. John Bean started on the mound for the Royals, he pitched 2 innings just before the weather delay. Elijah Garner went in relief for Bean, he pitched 2.1 innings. Luke Myers went in relief for Garner in the 5th inning, he pitched for 1.2 innings and faced 9 batters. Liam Felix pitched 2 innings as well, he went in relief for Myers in the 7th inning and took the win off of the mound. Felix improved his overall record to 2-3. Briggs closed the game for Warner and collected his 4th save of the season.
