Warner Women's Volleyball - Royals Drop Their Third Lose in Conference

Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. – Royals drop their 3rd lose in conference against Florida Memorial University.

The Royals stepped into this game against the Lions on Wednesday night knowing how good of an opponent they were facing. These two teams last matchup was September of last year, it ended up with the Lions taking the win in 3 sets. Although the Royals fought hard, and showed some life throughout the game, it was not enough to beat the Lions. Florida Memorial is undefeated in conference play so far this season.

The Royals only had a total of 24 kills during the matchup, compared to their opponents who had a total of 45 kills. The Lions were digging, setting, and attacking well all night against the Royals. Warner University showed some spark on the defensive side of the game with a total of 4 blocks. The Lions won the first set 25-17, the second set 27-25, and the third set 25-16.

Alexandra Gonzalez led the Royals in kills with a total of 7. TarriAnne Henry lead the Royals with 2 blocks during the game. Madison Hughes had 13 assists on the night  

The Royals next matchup is against Florida College on Saturday, September 25th, at 2:00 PM EST.
