Warner Women's Soccer- Royals Shutout the Barons in Georgia

MOUNT VERNON, GA- Royals win in fashion, beating Brewton Parker College 1-0. Improving their record to 2-2 on the season.

After a tough loss all the way up in Illinois against Trinity Christian College on Tuesday, the royals traveled up to Mount Vernon, Georgia to take on the Barons. This was just the second meeting ever between the Royals and the Barons. Brewton Parker traveled to Warner University last year and lost 2-1. This year the Barons were trying to look for some revenge at home but could not find it against the Royals.

The game was very stale in the first half with either team not scoring. The Barons ended up taking 6 shots on goal, compared to the Royals who only took 5. Cora Perez the junior had six saves on the night for Warner University. In the 58th minute of the game Blessing Zim assisted the transfer Kalena Iwashita as she whipped around the Barons defense to score the only goal of the game.

The Royals will stay in Georgia to travel to Middle Georgia State University. They will take on the Knights Monday, September 6, at 11:00 AM EST.
