COCHRAN, GA. – Royals fall to 2-3 on the season, after a tenacious loss to Middle Georgia State.
This was the second match-up ever between the Royals and Knights. The last time the Royals and Knights faced each other was in 2018 when the Royals took a 5-2 win on the campus of Warner University. The Royals had to travel up to Middle Georgia State, and this time the outcome was different against the Knights.
Warner had a total of 6 shots during the contest and only 3 shots on goal. The Knights in comparison had 10 shots and 4 shots on goal. Neither team scored in the first half. The first goal of the game wasn't until the 60th minute when Natalie Straklg for the Knights scored the one and only goal between either team.
The Royals next contest will be against the Crooked Lake rivals of Webber International University for a non-conference match-up at home on Royals Field Monday, September 13, 7:00 pm.
