Warner Women's Volleyball Lose To The Fire In Their Last Home Match Of The Year

LAKE WALES, Fla - The Royals hosted their last regular season home match against Southeastern University, where they celebrated their 2023 seniors.

Royal nation, prior to the match, started by celebrating their Senior Royals for Senior night before taking the court in the last home game of the season. Tonight, we celebrate our Seniors Karla Rodriguez, Sarah Michael, Reva Godbolt, Miranda Manduley, Aleisha Marcano Cintron, Becca Mack, and Mia Shola and the impact they left on the 2023 Warner Volleyball team. For tonight's matchup the Royals are facing the Fire. The Royals have not been able to find SEU's weakness these last few years, seeing the Royals last win against the Fire was 9/30/2020 in 4 sets at Southeastern. The Fire caught the Royals sleeping in the 1st set with SEU coming on top the first set 25-15 dropping the first set. In the 2nd set, the Royals woke up keeping the set evenly matched with the biggest gap being 3 points Reva Godbolt had a great game on defense as she registered five blocks which was a game high. Senior Miranda Manduley had a great game on a night she was celebrated, leading the Royals with nine kills.TheRoyals made some adjustments going into the second set, which made a difference as it was a close set but the Fire outlasted Warner and won the second set 25-22. It was the same story in the 3rd set both teams evenly matched with the lead fluctuating the whole set the Fire barely made it through winning in the 3rd set 25-23. The Royals played a strong Fire team but looking to make a statement and upset #22 St.Thomas University in their matchup Saturday.
