LAKE WALES, FL- The Royals hosted the Florida Memorial Lions for their final matchup of the season as they celebrated their seniors for their hardwork and dedication to the Women's Soccer Program.
The Royals were looking forward to finishing off the season with a win at home against the Florida Memorial Lions. The Royals started off aggressive against their opponents as they put up multiple shots early on in this matchup. The Royals played tough defense as well to prevent their opponents from trying to capitalize and take an early lead. The Royals continued to be aggressive as an assist from
Jessica Alejandre would allow
Oddny Helgadottir to score her eighth goal of the season giving the Royals an early 1-0 lead. Strong defense from the Royals would keep the score at one to zero heading into the second half. Throughout the second half, the Royals would be persistent on defense trying to prevent anything from passing, however the Lions would be able to tie up the matchup at one a piece. Defenses would be strong not preventing any other scoring as this matchup would end in a tie by a score of one to one
