Warner Women's Volleyball Completes Comeback Victory Against FMU

LAKE WALES, Fla - The Lady Royals hosted a Sun Conference match against the Lions of Florida Memorial University.

The Royals looked to take a Sun Conference matchup against the Lions tonight. The Royals had a great performance all  around today against the Lions. The Royals came out hot as they would take set one by a score of 25-17 but would lose the next two sets by a score of 20-25, and 14-25. Looking for a comeback, The Lady Royals battled back against the Lions. Imar Laboy allowed her teammates to score with 26 total assists in the match. Constanza Volpato had a stellar all around performance and gave the Lions trouble all night as she led the Royals in kills, aces, and blocks. Reva Godbolt came in later in the match and was a spark plug for the Royals as she was an immediate impact on the floor both offensively and defensively, She finished with eight kills and three blocks for the Royals. Thaimarys Alberio Rosado was a defensive anchor for Warner as she registered 10 digs in the match. Godbolt came in the fourth set and started the set with two big kills and a big block defensively that gave life to the Royals as they would battle back to tie the match at 2-2 before an exciting final and fifth set. The Royals would get off to a good start winning five of the first six points in the final set. The Lions would come back to tie it at 12 a piece before the Royals took the last three points and completed the comeback at the Turner Athletic Center. The Royals improved their conference record to 2-5 and look to continue their roll in a week against Ave Maria.

  • Reva Godbolt was a spark plug for the Royals as she finished with three blocks, and eight kills for the Royals.
