The Royals hosted the SCAD Savannah Bees in a conference match on Saturday October 7th. The Royals looked to regain momentum with a win in this matchup. The Royals found themselves trailing throughout the entire match by a score of three to zero, however, they shifted gears and prepared for a comeback. After multiple great defensive stops,
Pablo Sanchez put the Royals on the board with an assist from
Antonio Giovanni giving him his first goal of the season and cutting the deficit to two. About ten minutes later, the Royals would score their second goal of the match as multiple deflections would allow
Leyton Shaw to put up a shot and score his first goal of the season and would bring the Royals down by one. Tough defense from the Bees and the Royals would continue this nail biter of a match close with time winding down towards the end. The Royals would cut the deficit but good defense from the Bees would prevent a comeback as they one would end by a score of two to three. The Royals prepare for their next game as they host Florida Memorial University on Monday October 9th at 5:00 PM.
