LAKELAND, FL- The Royals faced Stillman College as they participated in the Sun/SSAC Crossover and searched for their second win of the season.
The Royals faced off against Stillman College as they searched for their second win of the season. The Royals coming off a great win in their last game, looked to improve their record to two wins and no losses. Coach
Sean Hanrahan's starting five in this one was
Logan West,
Josh Glesil,
Blaize Darling Jr,
Christian Nurse, and
Skyler Scull. The Royals offense started off and running as West would bring in the first points of the game. The Royals took an early lead in the game two minutes into the first half and never gave it up. However, Stillman's offense was still persistent as they stayed in the game against the Royals. Junior
Logan West made his presence known on both ends of the court as he registered 24 points, as well as three blocks, and two steals on the defensive side of the ball. The Royals played strong defense in the first half as they recorded more blocks and steals compared to their opponents. Leading 30 to 26 in the first half, the Royals didn't let up in the second half. The Royals continued to apply pressure against the Stillman defense and offense as they remained focused on both sides of the game. The Royals outscored their opponents 48 to 38 in total points in the second half as well as out rebounding them. The top scorers for the Royals were West and
Blaize Darling Jr as they combined for 45 of the Royals total 80 points. The Royals look forward to their next game as they face off against Middle Georgia State University on November 3rd at 2:30 PM as they look to extend their two game winning streak.
