Warner Men's Basketball Lose To (22) XULA In Day Two Of Battle At The Beach

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL- The Royals enter their second day of tournament play at the Battle of The Beach, as they faced off against (22)Xavier University of Louisiana.

The Royals came into this game looking for their first win after losing against  (RV) Faulkner University in hopes to take down (22)Xavier University of Louisiana. The Royals played a great game against the 22nd nationally ranked team keeping them to only an eight point game. In the first quarter of play, Sophomore Christian Nurse and Senior Logan West made a statement both getting into double digits for points in which Nurse led the first half with 10 pts, 2 rebounds, 1 steal. Logan West led this quarter 10 of his own points, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. This helped the Royals in gaining a three point lead in the first half with a score of 46-43. In the second half, Nurse finished with another eight points and eight rebounds. This quarter Senior Blaize Darling Jr led the Royals with 10 points and one rebound after an eight point and three rebound first half. The Royals kept the game close up until the last few seconds but it wasn't enough for the Royals to keep the lead from the first half and the Royals lost to XULA in the second half 83-75 dropping their regular season overall record to 2-4 as they take a week off before facing Thomas next tuesday.
