Warner Football Remains Undefeated In 63-6 Victory Over KCU

GRAYSON, KY - Your Warner Royals traveled to Grayson, Kentucky to face the Kentucky Christian Knights in the third game of the Royals Season in this non-conference matchup.

Your Warner Royals traveled this week to face off against the Knights on their home turf in Grayson, Kentucky. The last time these two teams met was September 28, 2021 where they faced the Royals at home and fell short 27-21. This time around, our Royals are going into this game 2-0 and looking for their 3rd win this afternoon against the 0-4 Knight team and they did not disappoint. The Royals came out this first half on fire, making a statement the first half of the game. 6 of the 9 touchdowns came from the first half of play with a dominant performance from the Royals pass game led by Xavier Holliday and the running game led by Kyle Metiam. On the first drive of the game, De'Queze Fryer received a 7 yard TD pass from Ronnie Joe Gilchrist to get the Royals on the board 7-0. With 5:02 left in the 1st Quarter Xavier Holliday connects with Evens Valcourt for a 67 yard pass for a TD raising your Royals lead to 14-0. With one minute left to close out the 1st Quarter, Kyle Metiam finds an opening and capitalizes with a 46 yard run finding himself in the endzone adding another TD to the scoreboard leaving the 1st Quarter of play 21-0. To start the 2nd Quarter your Royal defense makes a 4th down stop putting the ball back in the hands of the Royals. With the opportunity they were given Clyde Holland rushes for 2 yards to earn himself his first touchdown of the season bringing the Royals to a 28-0 lead. With 6:24 left in the 2nd Xavier Holliday takes to the ground as he will find the endzone on a 30 yard rush. To put the final blow on the Knights before the half Xavier Holliday with the remaining two minutes left in the half found Evens Valcourt again with a 21 yard pass giving your royals a comfortable 42-0 lead going into the half. The Royals had every intention of making a statement in today's game with their first drive of the 3rd Quarter Kyle Metiam found the endzone again on a 13 yard run to give the Royals a 49-0 lead. To put the Knights to sleep Jamar Wells catches a punt and returns it 90 yards putting the Royals in a comfortable position going into the 4th. Your Royals finished the game 63-6 keeping their undefeated streak alive.
