Warner Men's Basketball Fall Short To The (RV) St. Thomas Bobcats

LAKE WALES, Fla - The Royals faced the (RV) St.Thomas Bobcats in a thrilling conference game in the Turner Athletic Center.

Coming off a loss in their last game, the Royals looked for an important win against the St.Thomas Bobcats. The Royals showcased their strong defensive presence as they forced 15 turnovers and capitalized on their mistakes as they scored 15 points off turnovers. Both teams were aggressive, drawing fouls and getting to the line as the Bobcats shot an impressive 17-21, and the Royals shot a strong 11-16 from free throw attempts. The Royals had a great performance from Logan West as he finished up with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and two assists. Both teams were able to drive in the paint and each finished with 24 points in the paint showcasing their abilities to find the open man and capitalize on it. Blaize Darling Jr played a team leading 36 minutes while recording 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. The Bobcats got a strong performance from Jordan Hernandez courtesy of his 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Royals fought valiantly in this back and forth battle against the Bobcats, however late game baskets by the Bobcats would put them just out in front of the Royals and give them the win as the final score in this one would be 62-60. The Royals look to bounce back as they travel to their crooked lake rivals and face off against the Webber International University Warriors on Wednesday, January 17th at 7:30 P.M.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:
Logan West led the Royals tonight as he registered 18 points, five rebounds, and two assists. West also finished a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.
Christian Nurse was the second Royal to score in double digits, as he totaled 10 points, along with four rebounds.
Blaize Darling Jr. had a great all around game as he finished the night with nine points, five assists, and five rebounds.
