Warner Men's Basketball Takes Down The Warriors 63-62

BABSON PARK, FL - The Royals looked to get back in the win column against their Crooked Lake Rivals in the Warriors from Webber Int'l University.

The Royals looked to get back to their winning ways after two two-point losses against (RV) Bobcats, and (RV) Gyrenes. The Royals came out slow in the first half against a very good Warrior team, but remained in striking distance due to Christian Nurse finding the basket and finishing with a team high eight points, with Skyler Scull, and Blaize Darling Jr. right behind him with six points of their own. The Royals struggled with turning the ball over early in the matchup as Webber's defense made it difficult for Warner to find a rhythm on offense. The Royals would make some key adjustments in the second half that would prove to be beneficial as Scull would only miss one shot in the half and finished the game going 3-3 from behind the arc for a smooth 18 points, three rebounds, and two assists en route to Warner's comeback victory. This game went down to the wire as the Warriors had the final shot, down by one, but great defense made it difficult for Webber's Eden Holt to get a clean look as he missed the jumper with time running out sealing the second conference victory for the Royals. Behind Scull, Darling Jr. continues his outstanding play totaling 15 points, with five rebounds, and an assist. Nurse continues to give the Royals phenomenal production off the bench as he also totaled in double digit points with 10, along with three rebounds, and a steal. Logan West was the fourth Royal to finish in double digit points as he finished shooting 100% from the field with 10 points, and crashed the boards with four rebounds. The Royals continue to play great basketball and continue to keep their momentum going for their next SUN matchup against the Seahawks.
