LAKE WALES, FL- The Royals hosted Montreat College from North Carolina in a four game series on Royal Field.
  After a back and forth game earlier this week and winning the game the Royals host a four game series against Montreat this week. Today was perfect weather for baseball as the game started right at 3:00 PM and off the jump the Royals came out swinging. This afternoon the Junior LHP Noah Harsh came out tonight getting started tonight for the Royals. Our first runs of the night came in the 3rd when CF Diego Guervara hit a 2 RBI single to left-center, scoring Austin Chisenhal and
Luis Cedeno for a 2-0 lead. When Tristian Devaine hits a ground ball to SS advancing
Carson Nicodemo scores a run increasing the lead to 3-0. Before exiting the 3rd after an error by Montreats 3BÂ
Diego Guevara scores an unearned run increasing the score 4-0. Noah night ended after the 5th after only allowing one run in this one and seven strikeouts. After the pitching change in the 6th
John Malcom connects with a pitch earning a RBI single to right-center scoring
Luis Cedeno from 3rd base increasing their score 5-1. Even after an impressive 7 innings Montreat got hot late in the game getting on base and finding the gaps in the Royals defense making this a 5-5 game in the 9th. The Royals made some costly errors in the 9th and we could not hit in the last inning and lost the first game 5-9 to Montreat.
  After a heartbreaking loss to Montreat the Royals made a statement in the bottom of the 1st putting runs on the board.
John Malcom got the offense started with 2 RBI doubles to right field, scoring

Logan Hewitt after going 1-0 his last start is looking to dominate and close in this 7 inning match up tonight. In the 3rd Montreat would not give up tying the game back up 2-2 Â on fielder's choice but the Royals did not plan on having a repeat of the first game and we began to get hot again. In the 4thÂ
Diego Guevara earned an RBI double, scoring
Kayden Anderson and J.J. Gonzalez earned an RBI single to left center scoring Diego Guervara to make the score 4-2. With
Logan Hewitt staying in and dominating he throws a complete game with the final score 4-3 with eight strikeouts in 25 at bats. He received his second win of the season and the Royals split today's series and plan to come out tomorrow and compete against Montreat at 12:00 and 3:00 PM.
   On the second day of baseball the Royals have an early Double header starting at 12:00 PM. For the first game, Senior
Freddy Gonzalez came out in this one looking to have an explosive start for the Royals in this first matchup of the day and did not disappoint. The Cavaliers got an early jump on our Royals defense finding the ball in the top of the 2nd inning finding Montreat earning the first runs of the night with an RBI single taking the lead 1-0 early on. The Royals answered back in the bottom of the 3rd against Montreats ace with Warners current RBI leader

Andres Tapia to come in throwing from the left side. Motreat comes back out and capitalizes on the change finding 3 RBIs to take the lead and in the top of the 4th.
Triston Devane with his first hit of the night in the bottom of the 4th singles to left field for an RBI, scoring Chris Ferguson to cut the lead down to 4-3. In the top of the 6th Montreat scored their last run of the game and Warner fought to come back in the 7th. To get the comeback started

Liam Felix the closer held Montreet to no runs and 2 strikeouts in two innings pitched.Â
Starting the second game today we see the Senior
Cauy Massner coming to pitch for the last game of the afternoon. Montreat starts this off again with a one run lead scoring in the first off a sac fly to left field scoring the runner on third. The Royals are quick to react. With

Cade Gilcrease. The Cavaliers scored another run in the 4th to bring the score 3-2. We got to see the Royals in the 4th and 5th look unstoppable earning 7 runs between these two innings. Starting it off

Triston Devane finds an RBI single to right field and J.J Gonzales with a 2 RBI double to make the game bring the Royals lead 10-2. After a good defensive 6th inning and a slow 7th the Royals beat Montreat 10-4 to take the weekend series 3-1.
