LAKE WALES, FL - In a closely contested SUN Conference soccer clash, the Warner University Royals faced a tough loss against the Webber International Warriors with a 2-1 score line on September 21, 2024, at Warner University. Despite a spirited second-half performance, the Royals could not overcome the early lead taken by the Warriors.
Webber International opened the scoring through Sho Furukawa at 39:56, followed by a second goal early in the second half by Jesus Solarbe at 49:39. Warner University found a late spark when
Filip Mo successfully converted a penalty kick at 86:20, bringing the score to 2-1. Unfortunately for the Royals, this was the last goal of the contest.
Gustavo Infante, the goalkeeper for Warner, and
Vlad Andersen, who took five shots during the game, were noteworthy performers despite the defeat.
