MIAMI GARDENS, FL - The Warner Royals Women's Basketball team fell to the St. Thomas University Bobcats in a challenging road game, 66-55, at the Fernandez Family Center. Despite a strong effort and several standout performances, the Royals were unable to overcome St. Thomas' dominance on the boards and in the paint.
Game Leaders:
- Kalyah Watson led Warner with 21 points on 8-of-19 shooting, adding 2 rebounds and 4 made free throws.
- Julia Gilbert notched a double-double with 15 points, including 4-of-9 from three-point range, and a game-high 12 rebounds.
- Courtney Logan contributed 11 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds while playing a key role in Warner's offense.
Despite shooting 34.4% from the field and forcing 14 turnovers, the Royals were out-rebounded 59-37 and struggled to contain St. Thomas' inside scoring. Warner will regroup and look to bounce back in their next Sun Conference match-up taking place Wednesday, January 15th, at 5:30pm back home in the Turner Athletic Center.
