BRUNSWICK, GA - In a heated SUN Conference basketball showdown at Coffin Gymnasium on January 25, 2025, the Warner University Royals succumbed to a hard-fought defeat against the Coastal Georgia Mariners with a final score of 99-91. Despite a tenacious effort, the Royals, represented by their men's team, couldn't overcome the Mariners' sharpshooting and strategic plays.
From the onset, the Royals showed promise with
Jamal Norris opening the scoring with a swift 3-pointer. Blaize Darling topped the scoreboard for Warner with an impressive 20 points, tying with two steals alongside Norris, who also added two 3-pointers to his 17 point tally. The teamwork was evident as
Joshua Glesil and Darling both provided crucial assists, each contributing three assists to try and keep Warner in the game.
