West Palm Beach, Fla. – The Warner University beach volleyball team put up a strong fight but fell 5-0 to Palm Beach Atlantic at the Rinker Athletic Campus. Despite the tough result, the Royals showcased determination and resilience against a talented PBA squad.
In the top matchup, Warner's Pair 1 of Ashlyn Fassnacht and Leah Cooley stayed competitive in the first set before ultimately falling 21-18, 21-7 to PBA's Baumgart and Dunbar. Pair 2, Skye McDermott and Jocelyn Alfar also fought hard but were defeated 21-12, 21-8.
The Royals saw their closest battle in Pair 3, where Julia De Jesus and Karla Rodriguez pushed their opponents in the second set but came up just short, 21-14, 21-18. Meanwhile, Pair 4's Amanda Jimenez and Lydia Coggins put forth a solid effort but fell 21-12, 21-11. In the final pairing, Payton Harsch and Julliana Abbade pushed PBA in the opening set before ultimately dropping the match 21-17, 21-6.
