LAKE WALES, FL - In a challenging start to the season, Warner University's softball team faced off against Thomas University in a doubleheader on February 7, 2025, at Daly Field in Lake Wales, FL. The Royals, struggled to clinch a win, resulting in Thomas University securing victories in both games with scores of 7-4 and 8-2 respectively.

In the first game of the day, Warner players Grace Derstine, Avery Garbarek, and Tyler Mooring drove in the runs for the Royals, showcasing their skill despite the tough competition. Garbarek, along with Derstine and Mooring, also contributed with RBIs, highlighting their critical roles in the team's offense. A standout performance was given by Garbarek, who hit a significant 2-RBI double in the 5th inning, demonstrating clutch performance under pressure.

Looking ahead, Warner University will continue their season at home against the ABAC Stallions on February 8, 2025. The Royals are currently holding a record of 0-2 and are keen to turn this around with the home field advantage at Daly Field.
