SB: Royals Fall 0-3 in Battle of Crooked Lakes Against SUN Opponent Webber International

BABSON PARK, FL - The Royals faced a tough deficit in the Battle of Crooked Lakes against neighbor and SUN Conference opponent, Webber International, in Babson Park, FL March 25-26, 2025. Despite a valiant effort from the Royals, the Royals couldn't hold off the Warriors, falling 0-3 in a series that saw both teams battling fiercely for series win.

GAME 1, L (5-0)
Keirsten Garman, starting pitcher for the Royals, faced challenges from a strong Warriors lineup. The only scoring for Warner came from a spirited effort by Remy Camp who scored a run, complimented by Mackenzie Vargas who contributed an RBI.

GAME 2, L (8-5)
From the outset, Webber International seized a quick lead, scoring early with a two-run advantage in the first inning and further capitalizing in the third with an explosive five-run inning. Despite this, Warner showcased resilience, with key players making significant contributions. Samantha Berube, Mackenzie Vargas, Abby Faircloth, Remy Camp, and Diana Martin each crossed the plate, demonstrating the balanced attack of the Royals. Key RBI contributions came from Samantha Berube, Remy Camp with two, and Grace Derstine also with two, however, it wasn't enough to overcome Webber's early onslaught.

GAME 3, L (4-1)
Holding onto an early lead, Tyler Mooring scored the only run for the team in the first inning, showing promise. Diana Martin scored the run, driven in by Tyler Mooring, which initially placed the Royals in a hopeful position. Throughout the game, Keirsten Garman led as the starting pitcher, striving to maintain control against a persistent Warrior lineup.

As the Royals regroup and look ahead, they focus on their next challenge against the Augustana College Vikings at Daly Field in Lake Wales, FL, currently standing with a record of 9-17 overall and 2-10 in the SUN Conference.
