Warner Men’s Volleyball Goes 3-1 in Thrilling Weekend in Miami

The Royals battled tough opponents in Miami, defeating Carolina University, Truett McConnell, and St. Andrews, while only falling to Barry University. Despite the loss in the opening match, Warner demonstrated resilience and impressive team play throughout the weekend.

Game 1: Barry University (3) – Warner University (0)
The Royals opened the weekend with a challenging match against Barry University. Warner struggled to find their rhythm, ultimately falling in straight sets, 25-19, 25-14, and 25-20. Despite strong performances from Michael Barnes (13 kills, 14 points) and Darion Graham (7 kills, 10 points), the Royals were unable to overcome Barry's efficient offense.

Game 2: Warner University (3) – Carolina University (0)
Warner rebounded in their second match of the weekend with a 3-set sweep of Carolina University, 25-18, 25-22, and 25-20. Darion Graham led the way with 9 kills and 11.5 points, while Michael Barnes added 7 kills and 10.5 points. Emir Ege Gull was stellar at setter with 32 assists and 6 points. The Royals' strong offense and solid defense propelled them to the victory.

Game 3: Warner University (3) – Truett McConnell (1)
In another impressive performance, Warner took down Truett McConnell in four sets, 25-19, 25-18, 22-25, and 25-21. Michael Barnes was the standout player once again with 16 kills and 20 points. Darion Graham contributed 12 kills and 15.5 points, while Emir Ege Gull facilitated the offense with 37 assists. The Royals' defense was also strong, with key performances from Donovan Winsley (6 kills, 9 points) and KJ Harrison (5 digs).

Game 4: Warner University (3) – St. Andrews (0)
In their final match of the weekend, Warner completed a 3-set sweep of St. Andrews, 25-15, 25-19, and 25-17. The Royals were dominant across all aspects of the game, with James White contributing 9 kills and 9.5 points. Darion Graham added 9 kills and 10.5 points, while Michael Barnes chipped in with 10 kills and 10.5 points. Warner's offense was firing on all cylinders, finishing with an impressive .408 attack percentage.
