SB: Royals Edged Out by ST. Thomas in SUN Conference Series

LAKE WALES, FL - In another SUN Conference showdown, the Royals and Bobcats met in Lake Wales, FL, April 4-5, 2025, for a competitive conference series. The Royals were ultimately edged out by the Bobcats, who managed to take the series 3-0.

GAME 1, L (3-1)
The game saw significant moments that kept the spectators on edge. M. Schroeder was a notable player for Warner, leading the team by scoring once and hitting twice during the competition. Warner's only run was driven in by R. Camp who singled in the 3rd inning, which brought Schroeder home. However, the Royals displayed commendable defensive skills, making critical plays throughout the game. Starting pitcher K. Garman also delivered a noteworthy performance on the mound for the Royals. Nevertheless, Warner's struggles on the offensive side were evident and proved decisive in the final outcome.

GAME 2, L (9-1)
The game highlighted some pivotal moments for Warner, despite the lopsided score. Royals' Remy Camp scored the team's only run, which came unearned in the 5th inning, providing a brief spark for the home team. On the mound, Keirsten Garman started the game for Warner University, facing a strong offensive display from the Bobcats.

GAME 3, L (7-2)
The Royals opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly RBI from Jillian Hudson. However, the game's momentum shifted in favor of St. Thomas when they hit a crucial 2-RBI single, followed by a 4-RBI homerun in the second inning, which significantly impacted the Royals' chance of a comeback.

Warner's starting pitcher, Keirsten Garman, faced a tough opponent in St. Thomas, whose effective batting lineup proved too strong in this series' concluding matchup. For Warner, Remy Camp and Grace Derstine were the only players to cross home plate, with RBIs credited to Jillian Hudson and Mackenzie Vargas.

The Royals are looking forward to their next challenge against the Coastal Georgia Mariners in Brunswick, GA, as they aim to improve their standing within the SUN Conference.
